61 & 82 Leland Industrial Park Receives New Signage

Mar 29, 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LELAND, MS – The Washington County Economic Alliance is pleased to announce the installation of new signage at the HWY 61&82 Leland Industrial Park. This new signage increases visibility and marketability of the 500-acre Entergy Qualified Site. The WCEA completed the Entergy Qualified Site process in 2020.

“We are all very proud of our new sign. We’ve been working for several years to get this land shovel ready. It’s got water, sewer, electric and natural gas.” said Mayor Kenny Thomas of Leland. “We’ve got the bypass coming in here, we’ve got a lot of traffic and a lot of interest. Leland is moving forward.”

Entergy Site Certification increases marketability and competitiveness of a site by denoting that the site has completed all due diligence and is project-ready. With Entergy’s support, and the strategic location of this site, Leland and Washington County continue to increase a competitive advantage for landing economic development projects both in the delta region and statewide.

“Partnerships is a huge focus in economic development, and I want to thank the City of Leland and Entergy Mississippi,” said Will Coppage, Executive Director of the Washington County Economic Alliance. “The 82 Corridor along with having an Entergy Qualified Site is huge for Leland and Washington County. We are ready and open for business.”

This signage was made possible through financial contributions from the City of Leland, Washington County Economic Alliance, and a grant from Entergy Mississippi
