WCEA Announces Innovation Workforce Training Grant

MEDIA ADVISORY:

WHAT: The Innovation Workforce Scholarship Program is a partnership between the Washington County Economic Alliance and Rural LISC that will provide workforce training and resources to individuals that have been touched by the Justice System in rural Washington County, Mississippi. This program will also facilitate the dissemination of the Mississippi Re-entry Guide to program participants in an effort to provide essential information and resources to ensure participants have a more successful transition back into the Washington County community. Where applicable, Innovation Workforce Scholarship Program participants will also have the opportunity to participate in the Expungement Restoration Day sponsored by the Magnolia Bar Association, which will provide new opportunities for livable wage jobs, education and careers for individuals that have been involved in the justice system.
