Gov. Reeves amends safer-at-home order to safely reopen restaurants and parks

  • Restaurants are allowed to open on May 7, 2020 at 8 a.m. at 50% occupancy.
    • Must deep clean, sanitize, and disinfect periodically.
    • Must adhere to CDC guidelines.
    • Must close by 10 p.m.
    • Must require all employees to wear masks.
    • Must have a minimum of 6 feet between employees and no gatherings of more than 10 employees.
    • Must limit party sizes to 6 customers per table.
    • Must do employee and customer screenings for illness.
    • Technology solutions to minimize person-to-person contact is encouraged, including mobile reservation systems, text upon arrival, mobile ordering, and contact-less payment options.
    • No live music.
  • Bars with NO food remain CLOSED.
  • Hair Salons, Barbershops, Nail Salons, and all other grooming establishments are to remain CLOSED.
  • Pet groomers may open in accordance with the guidance provided by Mississippi Board of Animal Health.
  • Casinos will remain CLOSED.
  • State Parks, Private Parks, and Outdoor Recreational Activities are open and permitted from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Group gatherings/activities shall be limited to a maximum of 10 participants indoor and 20 participants outdoor.
  • Retail stores are allowed to open at 50% capacity.

 

City of Greenville Updated Preventative Guidelines

  • All CDC and Department of Health social distancing guidelines, rules, and mandates shall be followed.
  • City Hall will remain closed to the public (for any assistance please call 662-378-1534).
  • City Parks will remain CLOSED. The Hardy Park Track and the Levee Walking Trail will remain OPEN.
  • The Greenville Municipal Golf Course is open.
    • Must have personal hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies
    • Only 1 person per golf cart.
    • Only 5 people at a time in the pro shop.
    • Only 5 people at a time in the dinning area.
  • Greenville Fire Department will gradually restart some basic services.
    • Inspection of local businesses. 
    • Smoke alarm program with homes in high risk areas with older adults and small children present.
    • Safety programs with groups of 10 or less practicing social distancing. 
  • The City of Greenville's curfew is still in effect from 10 p.m.-5 a.m.
