WCEA/Chamber Response to COVID-19
Mar 16, 2020
COVID-19 UPDATE:
The Washington County Economic Alliance and Chamber of Commerce is closely monitoring the healthcare situation locally and nationwide. We are taking the concern with COVID-19 seriously and following the advice of medical experts. The Center for Disease Control & Prevention recommends that for the next 8 weeks, organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States. Therefore, we have decided to postpone Chamber events that fall in that window:
March 17th (Tuesday) – no Meet & Greet for Ken Purvis, new President of Guaranty Bank (will be rescheduled)
March 19th (Thursday) – no Business After Hours at Montage Marketplace (will be rescheduled)
April 2nd (Thursday) – No Business After Hours at Emery Lee (will be rescheduled)
April 16th (Thursday) – No Annual Meeting (will be rescheduled)
All four of these events are in stand-down status, not cancelled. The Washington County Economic Alliance and Chamber of Commerce will review information from the CDC, MS Department of Health, Washington County Emergency Management, and Delta Regional Medical Center each day to provide current, trusted information. Please follow us on social media to receive updates.
