Enrollment open for Leadership WashCo Class of 2020
Jun 19, 2019
The Washington County Economic Alliance is currently accepting nominations for the class of 2019-2020 Leadership Washington County. We are asking WCEA/Chamber businesses to nominate an individual or individuals from their business to participate in this very valuable professional development course that educates participants about all areas of the community and hones leadership skills. Classes begin in September and celebrate with a graduation in June 2020.
The goal of Leadership Washington County is to develop the next generation of active leaders for Washington County. Local business decision-makers, agri-business, government agencies, schools, and non-profit organizations participate in this 9 month program devoted to regional economic and social issues for Washington County. Classes will be held once a month and will usually fall on the middle Wednesday. Graduates of Leadership Washington County go on to contribute to Washington County’s economic and cultural vitality.
Please note that this is a commitment from both the employer and the employee for the class year. Two excused absences are allowed for each participant to graduate. The fee of $300 per participant is to be paid by the employer. Please complete the nomination form and return it to the WCEA by Friday, August 9, 2019. The nominated individual(s) will then be sent an application. Space is limited, so don’t delay!
If you have any questions about the leadership class or need additional information, please contact Chamber Director, Kay Sipes, by e-mailing ksipes@wceams.com or by calling 662.378.3141.
