As a gateway to national and international trade, the Port is responsible for millions of dollars in annual economic activity. Its ability to create and develop jobs and make capital investmentsgenerates additional tax revenue to the local community and counties within a 100-mile radius.
Volume of Port Activity
Every year approximately 5.2 million tons of cargo are transloaded at the Port of Greenville. The largest volume of raw products from the Delta region is shippedthrough the Port of Greenville: corn, wheat, soybeans, rice, and milo; gasoline, diesalfuel; and bio-diesel products; bulk dry and liquid chemicals; steel, scrap steel, lumber, and other wood products.
