Washington County Economic Alliance and The Chamber Announce Leadership Washington County Class of 2024

 

Washington County Economic Alliance and Chamber of Commerce are proud to announce the Leadership Washington (LWC) County Class of 2024. The comprehensive 10-month class is designed to cultivate emerging business leaders in Washington County and the surrounding areas. This esteemed program focuses on leadership development and community involvement through workshops, seminars, tours, team-building activities, and a collaborative class project.

 

The participants selected for the 2024 class represent a diverse array of industries and backgrounds, showcasing the breadth of talent and leadership potential within the community. The class members are: Shaquita Allen - Mayor of Metcalfe; Paul Cordell - Assistant Director of Plant Operations at Delta Health System The Medical Center; Lamar Cousin - HSE Manager at Mars Food; Amanda Delperdang - Executive Director at MS Delta Nature & Learning Center; Keith Gann - President of Wise Solutions, Inc; Twanna Johnson - Loan Administrator at Planters Bank & Trust; Sean Lees - Site Facility Manager / CVS Manager at Mars USA Foods; Katie Beth Maddox - Commercial Account Manager at Southgroup Insurance; Tashanda Mosley - Customer Service Representative at Planters Bank & Trust; Eleanor Pittman - Project/Equipment Coordinator at Malouf Construction; Amanda Potter - Universal Teller at CB&S Bank; Alfred Redmond - Owner/Operator of Redmond Central Heat & AC; Haley Smith - AVP at Guaranty Bank & Trust Company; Jami Smith - AVP, Branch Manager at Planters Bank; Jennifer Spencer - VP at Dawkins Office Supply; Leah Spencer - Director of Operations at Delta Lodging Group; and Kim Watson - Store Manager at Goodwill Industries of Mississippi.

 

“These individuals have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in their respective fields and a passion for making a positive impact in Washington County,” said Chamber Director Mary Catherine Brooks. “The Chamber is honored to welcome them to the 2024 class, and we look forward to empowering them to become influential leaders within the community.”

 

Jamie Murrell will lead LWC Class of 2024. Her natural leadership skills personally and professionally along with her passion for community service is evident through her remarkable resume. She currently serves on multiple boards and committees including Delta Council, Kings Daughters & Sons Circle, B.B. King Museum, Grammy Museum Red Carpet Guild and is an active Rotarian in Greenville. She has been named the DDT’s Woman of the Year, recipient of the United Way Peter Watzek Volunteer of the Year award, Delta Council’s Good Middling award, and Junior Auxiliary of Greenville’s Charity Ball Queen. She and her husband, Carter, reside in Arcola and have two teenage daughters, who are also active in the Washington County community.
